They have little metal dots on the thumb and index finger so you can still do all the fun touch screen stuff with warm hands. I wouldn't really need these that much in Texas, but eventually when I move to a colder place (and get an iPhone, iPod Touch, or some touch screen gadget) I will probably look into getting a pair.
